Li Qingzhao: Sheng Sheng Man

Li QingZhao was a female Chinese poet of song dynasty. Sheng Sheng Man is one of her famous Ci poetry. My favorite sentence is: "这次第, 怎一个愁字了得?" Here is an English version of Sheng Sheng Man:

Restless and lost,

Cold and lonely,

Wretched, miserable and anxious.

Early warmth laced with chill,

Hardest time for convalescing.

Two or three cups of light wine,

No antidote against the gusty evening wind.

Wild geese just flying by,

Heart-wrenching,

Turned out to be old acquaintances.

The yard piled up all over with yellow blossoms,

Withered and ruined,

Now none worth picking.

Vigil by the window alone,

What heavy time before dark!

Wutong trees on top of fine drizzling,

Until dark,

Dripping and trickling,

Things in this order,

How gloomy can the “gloom” be?

Managing employees is done through a new administration panel designed for this purpose.

In addition, it retains all the benefits of the standard edition organization: tasks and subtasks, projects and categorization labels, priority levels and notices by e-mail, SMS or push notifications. When You Are Old

When You Are Old was written by Yeats and has been published in 1892. Yeats was a very famous Irish poet. In order to find his true love, he never got married in his whole life. When You Are Old has been written for his love and this poem deeply moved all readers, including me.

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

Chinese Version(Translated by Aimei):

Welcome to My Blog World!

This blog is about beautiful poems in my heart. It is no doubt that it is very peaceful and nice to taste an excellent poem. It seems that you can clearly understand the feeling of author at that moment.

My favorite Chinese poet is Tao Yuanming (陶渊明) of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. He is a famous Fieds and Gardens poetry poet. He always talked about nature, and you can see flower, river,mountain, sky in this poetry frequently.

Here is one of my favorite poem of Tao:

        Drinking wine
           Tao Qian
       -translated by Xu Yuanchong(许渊冲)
In people's haunt I build my cot;
Of wheel's and hoof's noise i hear not.
How can it leave on me no trace?
Secluded heart makes secluded place.
i pick fenceside asters at will;
Carefree i see the southern hill.
The mountain air's fresh day and night;
Together birds go home in flight.
What revelation at this view?
Words fail if i try to tell you.

Original Version:

   饮酒
       陶渊明

结庐在人境,

而无车马喧。

问君何能尔,

心远地自偏。

采菊东篱下,

悠然见南山。

山气日夕佳,

飞鸟相与还。

此中有真意,

欲辨已忘言。
